Couple an excessive amount of homework, research for Speech Bigs, a Lenten promise to work out two hours a day, and two and a half hours of play practice every night and you have a concoction that will make any teenager certifiable.
I don’t mean to complain. After all, this is my fault, being so over involved. I could never choose just one of my activities, though. I enjoy them too much, especially the play.
Do you remember me blogging about The Wizard of Oz last summer? Well, this year, our spring play is Sahara Nights. I know; obscure, right? It’s a spoof on Scheherazade and the Arabian Nights and Aladdin. Lots of really random funny stuff. Even though it’s my senior year, I didn’t manage to nab the main part (darn), but on the bright side, I do get to play the creeper again. My character is Miss Mary Samantha Agogabooga of Icantstantinople, the Royal Advisor to the Sultan. But most people just call me Fluffy. Yeah, I’m really skilled at playing the creeper…wonder why that is…
If you aren’t doing anything on April 14, 15, or 16, you should definitely drop by OLE to see our production of Sahara Nights. You won’t be disappointed!
