Quote Of The Week

"I'm not that good of a dancer, I'm more of an 'in the bedroom' kind of guy. I mean, I've got moves." ~Cameron Mitchell

More Audition Loveliness

Laziness has already ensued. I'm awful. Really.

Alas, I was sick on Tuesday so I couldn't see Yo Gabba Gabba. Darn. But, on the plus side, I signed my very first contract yesterday! I am officially on my high school's payroll.

I finished my audition video Monday evening. My family and friends have been great about liking it, and I even got some encouraging comments. Honestly, it's scary as hell putting myself out there like that. I normally don't like people hearing my voice if it isn't with a group of people. But if it's for Glee, it's worth it.

Try putting a very personal video up on youtube. I guarantee you will watch it over and over again, analyzing it and pointing out your flaws. That is what I've been doing constantly over the past three days. I have been obsessing over my audition. Will they like it? Did I go sharp on that note? Do I sound flat? And don't get me started on peoples' comments. Did they really mean it? Are they only saying that because they think they're better than me? Oh God, they are so much better than me.

It's not healthy. But I recommend posting a personal video once or twice in your life. That way, you have a new appreciation for others who do it on a daily or weekly basis.

With My Tail Between My Legs

I'm back...again. I suppose this is getting really old, me stopping for months then making a fabulous reappearance for a few months. All I can say is I'm sorry.

Vlogging was an epic fail. Perhaps it was because I tried to do it daily. Not such a good idea for all of you future vloggers out there. You have to have a serious commitment to do it daily. Also, I wasn't a fan of planning out what I was going to say. I don't know if you realized this or not, but I kind of ramble on here. That's because I don't plan what I'm going to say at all. I just take things in my life, turn them into something I could possibly post about, then type my little heart out.

The reason I'm back (again) is because I'm auditioning for The Glee Project season 2. One of the questions they asked on the application is if I had a blog. I do have a blog. I want to be proud of it again.

Since we spoke last, I was hired at my high school to run the social media. Like Our Lady of the Elms on Facebook and you get to hear more from me! Also, I've started an internship at the Akron Civic Theatre. I get to see Yo Gabba Gabba twice tomorrow...haha one more interesting thing I can blog about. It's worth it, though. One step closer to my Broadway dream!

Well friends, fingers crossed I'll keep my blog up, at least for a few more months. Thanks for dealing with me.

I'm BAAACK (Again)

I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm really bad with keeping up on things. Especially things like this. But here I am, once again picking this blog up (thanks a lot, Julia).

For the past three weeks, my Sunday nights have been taken over by this show. Perhaps you've heard of it...it's called The Glee Project. I'm a major Gleek as it is, so putting a group of normal kids in front of a camera and giving them a chance to win a spot on Glee sounds fantastic to me. And it really is.

Okay, okay, I have to admit that the guys aren't too shabby looking either. Especially Northern Ireland hottie Damian McGinty. Formerly of the band Celtic Thunder, McGinty took his career to the good old US of A to see if he could make it on Glee. And you know what I say to that? God bless you and good luck, Damian. I love looking at your face and hearing your voice every week.

Honestly, I think he could win. He and Matheus are the guys I'm rooting for.

Too much? Probably. But go Glee or go home.
