You know, sometimes I have to remind myself that not all people on the internet are complete creepers. I have come to find that some are actually quite hilarious. In the good way, not the "oh my goodness, so-and-so is such a dumbass" way. A prime example of this is the goober who made "Voldemort Rememberance Day" on Facebook. I salute you, fellow Potterhead.
Unfortunately, some people think those who are the most epicly hilarious are nerdy and geeky and don't give them a chance. I find this to be a gross exaggeration. I don't descriminate against Trekkies, Star Warriors, Potterheads, Twihards, etc. I think they all rock.
There's just one thing I have a little bit of an issue with. A little while ago, my friend convinced me to check out this really popular site called fanfiction.net. Maybe you've heard of it...It's where uberfans write made-up stories about books, movies, TV shows, you name it.
Well, as I was searching through some stories from a book I'd recently read, I saw a story I thought I would enjoy (based on the written description). As I began to read it, it became saucier and saucier! Like, it was legit soft porn. WHO WRITES PORN ABOUT A NOVEL FOR TEENAGERS?!?!?!?! I mean, a twelve-year-old could have accidently stumbled upon that. You are going to corrupt the youthful innocence of children, fanfictioners!
Is it so much to ask you to keep it PG? Please. I felt so...dirty after reading that! Tone it down, please? Thanks. It's much appreciated.
